Britton's Story - Lead Guitar, Vocals
Britton is an American songwriter, lead guitarist, and vocalist for Born & Raised, bringing a unique blend of influences from Brad Paisley, Jaco Pastorius, Guthrie Govan, and Def Leppard. At just 18, Britton made waves by winning the "Gorilla Music Battle of the Bands" in San Francisco. As the youngest member of Born & Raised, Britton is not only respected as an equal but has been integral to the band’s dynamic and growth.
Having performed live since the age of 11, Britton’s journey hasn’t been without challenges, including the loss of his younger brother to a difficult relationship. Moving with family to Placerville, CA, Britton quickly sought new musical outlets, where he crossed paths with Jason in a local band, "Stone Planet." Britton played bass while Jason handled drums, and their friendship developed naturally. After a few conversations, Britton expressed an interest in expanding his musical involvement, which led to Jason introducing him to Born & Raised. Following a trial, Will and Jason recognized Britton as a perfect addition to their vision for the band.
In his role as lead guitarist, Britton has been a powerhouse, contributing fresh leads and lending his talents to the songwriting process. Taking on backup vocals as well, Britton has further amplified the band’s sound. With his skill, passion, and energy, Britton continues to shine, propelling Born & Raised to new heights.
